Round spaces have several benefits over square and rectangle models. In general, a round design adds to the strength and efficiency of your construction and requires less resources to build. Most importantly though it enhances our well-being, as more and more people realize. The pleasant feelings and the tranquility I experienced in yurts and domes let me start building my first model in 2009. After a few years of research and experimentation I started a small business and relocated it to Portugal in the beginning of 2020.

I offer design and production of round constructions ranging from light yurts and geodesic domes for camping, meditation, ceremonies or holistic therapies to bigger structures to live all year round.

Yurts

All Year Round Yurts

Based on the traditional yurt from Mongolia I build beautiful and sturdy yurts with the highest quality materials. The bigger yurt-structures are made out of nicely worked chestnut for the poles, beech for the lattice wall and larch-wood for the ring. The outer cover is either made from the strongest suitable canvas available or from a high-tech blend of fibers which still allow for a breathing yurt. The insulation is a superb filt layer made from sheep-wool, which gives your yurt a very good insulation and again, the ability to breath. The inner liner is made from a layer of poly-cotton canvas. You can order an insulated or simple platform for your yurt or build one yourself, instructions and platform-plans available for free.

 
 

Camping Yurts

Our camping yurt is 4 meter in diameter and easy to carry and set-up in a short time. The structure is build from nicely worked ash-wood, except for the ring, which is made from larch-wood.The ring and skylight are 90 cm in diameter. The wall height is 1.5 meter. The covering is a single layer of 320gr poly-cotton tent-canvas. For the door-flap also canvas is used. Comes with a clear skylight, groundsheet, a liner, wooden door-frame and instructions for set-up and maintenance. The insulated version has a slightly heavier structure, a double-layered skylight and a felt-insulation layer for the roof and the walls. Options include extra felt-insulation, wooden door and floor.

 
 

Indoor Yurts

Creating a wonderful space within your house was never that easy. You can use your yurt as an extra dorm, a place for meditation, for giving holistic treatments, conducting rituals or just to relax. I made specific yurts for ayahuasca-sessions and water-birthing. The standard dimensions are the same as the camping model. The covering is a single layer canvas, which comes in ten different colors. We can also build a yurt adapted to the size and shape of the room where you want to install the yurt. The indoor yurts are very easy to set up, carry and store.

 
 

Domes

Our domes are 4 meter in diameter and come in different models and different frequencies. The higher the frequency, the higher the number of parts and the rounder the shape. Higher frequency domes are more costly, mostly because the higher number of connectors. It also takes more time to setup. You can order one of the models below or come up with your own designs. Any shape from triangulated bowdomes to rhombicuboctahedrons. The struts are made from wooden beams, the connectors are made from metal.

If you prefer, we also make dome-structures with wooden connectors and natural rope. These take more time to set up and are a little less strong, but are more natural and artistic versions. Our domes come with a poly-cotton tent cover, a cotton liner and a groundsheet. Options include a clear skylight, felt-insulation, wooden floor and a stove. You can also just order a frame and get instructions from us in order to sew your own cover.
